Elsinore Series on Infection Immunity

Prophylactic & Therapeutic Intervention in Host-Pathogen Interaction

Dear colleague

We are once again organizing a meeting in the Elsinore series on Infection Immunity and we would like to offer you the opportunity to register. The Elsinore meetings are a series of nonprofit meetings on immunology that stretch back nearly 30 years. The emphasis has always been on providing a small, cross disciplinary focus on developing topics of interest to immunologists in a setting that lends itself to informal discussion and collaboration.

This year’s conference is entitled “Prophylactic and Therapeutic intervention in Host-Pathogen Interaction”. The theme will be on the new possibilities opening with regard to vaccines, immunotherapies and other interventions, in particular for chronic diseases.

The meeting will be held at the LO-Skolen in Elsinore, on June 5-8, 2009. As in the past, the meeting will have 7 sessions, with 5 presentations in each session and a high-quality roster of international speakers. The sessions and chairmen for the 2009 meeting are:

The price for the meeting for academic researchers is 6,500 Danish crowns (approximately 870 Euros)**. Note that this includes all costs apart from travel: registration, accommodation and all meals at the site, plus the banquet dinner in Copenhagen.

There are a limited number of travel scholarships available for researchers from Eastern Europe, generously provided by EFIS: please specify when replying, if you are interested in such support.

Please indicate your interest as soon as possible – as in the past the meeting is limited to 130 participants, to promote collaborative discussion, and it tends to sell out quickly. You can simply reply by email to Helsingoer@ssi.dk and we will reserve a place. Registrants will receive an email containing an information package with all the details on the meeting site, agenda and submission of abstracts.
